Project MUSE

Project MUSE offers institutional subscription access to
some 400 journals from nearly 100 not-for-profit and scholarly
publishers. These journals are made available to libraries in a variety
of collections, each designed to meet specific needs and budgets.
Selected journal titles are also offered for subscription on a
title-by-title basis. Consortium subscription arrangements are
available.
Project MUSE plans offer superior value with complete full-text
content, no embargoes, high quality peer-reviewed titles, archival
rights to all subscribed material, library-friendly usage policies, and
access to selected back-files (up to 10 years or more) at no additional
charge.

Pricing
MLNC member libraries receive 10% off the list price of
Project
MUSE collections.
As introduced in 2005, MUSE pricing is determined under a model
that assigns to each subscriber a pricing tier and usage quartile. Tiers
are based upon the institution’s Carnegie classification, and should not
typically change from year to year. Usage quartiles are determined by
ranking the institutions within each tier by their actual full-text
article usage in the previous subscription term and dividing into
quartiles. Subscribers that do not yet have a complete year's worth of
usage data are placed in the first quartile. Quartiles may change from
year to year.

Ordering
Project MUSE subscriptions continue to run from January thru
December. Orders may be prorated to start mid-year.
To order a Project MUSE collection, return completed forms to the MLNC office via fax: 314-394-1326; or, by mail: 13610 Barrett Office Dr., Suite 216, Ballwin, MO 63021.
